What can I expect at a Hygiene appointment?

• A dental hygiene appointment lasts approximately one hour and focuses on preventive care to keep your teeth and gums healthy with our professional Registered Dental Hygienists.

• The process involves updating your health history, conducting an oral cancer screening, performing periodontal charting, scaling to remove tartar/plaque, polishing, flossing, an option to receive fluoride treatment, and providing oral hygiene instructions.

• For our pediatric patients, we offer our "Smile Club", which involves displaying their photo on our bulletin board (with parent's approval) and entering them to win a gift card at the end of the month.

• If my teeth don't hurt, do I really need to schedule a hygiene appointment? Yes, as they say, prevention is the best medicine. Routine checkups allow us to identify any issues that may arise before they become a bigger problem.
